Opened in early 1997, the Outpatient Surgery Center is a state-of-the art medical complex featuring four operating suites, two procedures rooms, all private recovery rooms for patients, the most advanced surgical suites in the region, easy first floor access with covered entrance, ample parking and comfortable lounges for family members. Same Day Surgeries are performed here at the Outpatient Surgery Center.

An adjacent facility, the Medical Office Building, is connected to the Surgery Center via a covered walkway. As part of the Schuylkill Medical Complex, it provides offices for area physicians, many of whom operate at the Surgery Center. In addition, the hospital's Pre-Admission Testing Services and Outpatient Laboratory Blood Draw Station are located in the Medical Office Building.

The center is conveniently located at the intersection of Routes 61 & 209. An entrance from Route-61, and a bridge leading to the site from Mauch Chunk Street, make the complex very accessible for all patients while providing an extension to the hospital's main campus.
