The Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit

Our program focuses on the whole person addressing physical, social, emotional, cognitive and spiritual needs -- and preparing each person for community re-entry in this specially designed, CARF accredited, 20 bed unit.

Team members developing plan care include physiatrists (doctors specializing in rehabilitation medicine), nurses, occupational, physical and speech therapists, psychologists and social workers. These health professionals work with the patient, family and the patient's physician in the rehabilitation process.

Admissions to Inpatient Rehabilitation are typically limited to the following diagnoses.

Stroke
Spinal Cord Injury
Congenital Deformity
Amputation
Major Multiple Trauma
Fracture of femur (hip fracture)
Brain injury
Neurological disorders ( MS, motor neuron diseases, polyneuropathy, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease)
Burns
Active, poly articular rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, seronegative arthropathies
Systemic Vasculidities with joint inflammation
Severe or advanced Osteoarthritis
Knee or hip joint replacement

This can be discussed with your physician and with members of The Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit Staff.
