The Pottsville Hospital and Warne Clinic was established to meet a very serioius need for healthcare services in the greater Pottsville Area.
With the help and support of concerned citizens, community-minded people, civic organizations and others, The Pottsville Hospital was created in 1895 to treat the sick and injured and to educate nurses.
The hospital continued to grow and advance with technology. Healthcare changed, and so did The Pottsville Hospital.
In the mid 1960's, The Pottsville Hospital merged with the Lemos B. Warne Clinic and Hospital becoming The Pottsville Hospital and Warne Clinic.
One thing that that has not changed over the more than 110 since our founding is the generosity, support and sprit of giving of the people of Schuylkill County.
Through the kindness of our community, the hospital has been able to enhance existing services and create new ones.
